What is Dropps packaging made of?Updated 3 days ago
Dropps products come in curbside recyclable paperboard, instead of plastic jugs, tubs, and pouches that can break down into microplastics in our oceans and waterways.
We chose recyclable paperboard over industrially compostable packaging on purpose. Industrially compostable packaging can look and feel just like recyclable material, but it requires specialized facilities that aren't widely available or accessible to most people. Without access to those facilities, compostable packaging often ends up in a landfill anyway, where it won't break down as intended. Recyclable paperboard works with the infrastructure most people already have.
Paperboard also simply recycles better: the recycling rate for paper-based packaging is 68%, compared to just 9% for plastic packaging.*
Look for the How2Recycle symbol on our packaging to make recycling easy.
